If You Are Selfish and You Know It, Do NOT Clap Your Hands

If you are a selfish person and you know it, do not clap your hands.

It is nothing to be proud of or happy about.

The goodness of other people, children, and even relationships cannot fix you.

They only cover up your selfishness for a short while,

Making you seem like an unselfish person when you are not.

And there is no amount of money or cool, material possession that will make you less selfish.

To become a more selfless person,

To get free from this unfortunate character defect, you must do things to change yourself.

Be unsatisfied with being selfish; it is not a good look.

If you remain selfish, the ups and downs of life will undo it for you.

They may even cause your demise.

We humans are naturally giving, compassionate creatures;

Except when we have been taught and tainted by selfish others, terrible experiences, and greedy systems, to think only of ourselves.

Do not let these forces have power over you and control your destiny;

Do not accept the selfish lies they told;

Do not deny the traumatizing selfish lives that they lived.

If you are selfish and you know it, fix yourself (unless this is how you want to be remembered),

Become a better, less selfish person, by practicing new behaviors,

Learn to be a giver, not a taker.

Find habits and hobbies that fulfill you and mean something to others;

Do for others without expecting anything in return;

Stop letting the fears you carry from your past or present ruin your life;

Let go of selfish, apathetic attitudes;

Acknowledge the fact that you need people and people need you,

If you put just a few of these things into practice, the suffering brought upon you and those you know by selfishness will surely subside.
